Montecelio Medieval Fest 2025
From June 27 to 29, 2025, the village of Montecelio, in the Municipality of Guidonia Montecelio, hosted the second edition of the Montecelio Medieval Fest. The heart of the event was the Parco dei Frati, with free admission and a visitable 15th-century military camp, also managed by the White Company re-enactors.
On Saturday, June 28, the program started at 6:00 PM with activities for adults and children, painting workshops, roaming entertainment, and thematic lectures; from 8:00 PM, a fire show in Piazza San Giovanni, followed by music from Clerici Vagantes and performances by Ordo Melodico. Sunday the 29th resumed at 10:00 AM with repeats of the shows, a talk by Jacopo Matricciani on The Middle Ages and the Arms Race, concerts, juggling, and a closing ceremony.
Among the most appreciated attractions were the interactive archery area managed by the Banderentum association and the falconry demonstrations. A shuttle service from Guidonia connected the upper village during the evenings.
