Edition 2025 — Montecassiano Carnival

In 2025, the Montecassiano Carnival once again filled Piazza Unità d'Italia and the historic centre of Montecassiano on Shrove Tuesday. Allegorical floats, masked groups, music, activities for children, and typical sweets offered by the Pro Loco marked a festival that concluded, as tradition dictates, with the evocative Falò de Carnuà at dusk.

The 2025 edition of the Montecassiano Carnival confirmed the format of the event organized by the Pro Loco of Montecassiano, in the Municipality of Montecassiano (province of Macerata, Marche). The Carnival day featured the parade of allegorical floats and masked groups along the village streets, with the customary award for the best mask.

Amidst music, entertainment for children, and typical Carnival sweets distributed by the Pro Loco, the festival concluded in 2025 with the Falò de Carnuà, the ancient bonfire ritual that symbolically marks the end of Carnival and the beginning of the Lenten period.
