About Montebelluna Carnival

The Montebelluna Carnival is one of the most colourful events in the Marca Trevigiana. Part of the Carnevali di Marca circuit, it offers a weekend of festivities with a carnival village for families, street performances, and a grand parade of floats and masked groups through the historic centre. Having grown over the years in terms of parade quality and number of floats, it attracts tens of thousands of spectators in the province of Treviso.

The Carnival that Colours the Marca

The Montebelluna Carnival, in the province of Treviso, is one of the flagship events of the Carnevali di Marca circuit, which brings together the major parades of the Marca Trevigiana. Over the years, the event has grown steadily, establishing itself for the quality of the parade, the high number of floats, and the spectacular presence of masked groups.

Two Days of Festivities

The programme opens on Saturday with the carnival village set up in the centre: workshops, street performances, artists, clowns, face painting, and entertainment for families. Sunday is the highlight, with the grand parade of floats and masked groups, fairground rides, stalls, the town band, and entertainers and speakers from Radio Peter Pan.

A Community Tradition

The parade is organised by the Pro Loco of Montebelluna in collaboration with the Municipal Administration and the Carnevali di Marca circuit, and involves numerous local groups, such as the Colombere di Cusignana Committee and the Associazione Festeggiamenti of Sernaglia della Battaglia. Sunday can attract up to 25,000 spectators, confirming the festival's strong popular roots in the heart of Veneto.
