Edition 2025 — Monte Velino Festival

In 2025, the Monte Velino Festival once again renewed the hiking tradition of Magliano de' Marsi, with the first Sunday of July dedicated to the ascent of the Velino organized by the G.E.V. Hikers reached the 2,487-meter summit starting from Santa Maria in Valle Porclaneta, with the customary mass at the top and a stop at the Capanna di Sevice Refuge, in the heart of the Sirente-Velino Regional Natural Park.

2025 Edition

The 2025 Monte Velino Festival took place on the first Sunday of July, confirming the annual appointment curated by the G.E.V. - Gruppo Escursionisti del Velino of Magliano de' Marsi. As per tradition, hikers departed from Santa Maria in Valle Porclaneta, near Rosciolo dei Marsi, to ascend Trail 3 to the summit of Monte Velino (2,487 m), passing through the Capanna di Sevice Refuge. A mass was celebrated at the top, followed by a convivial lunch at the refuge, in an edition that reaffirmed the strong bond between the Marsican community and its symbolic mountain.
