Edition 2025 — The Night of the Crayfish

In 2025, the Monte Sporno Landscape Festival took place from May 23 to July 5 with seven events designed to showcase the Monte Sporno area from a naturalistic, geological, historical-architectural, and gastronomic perspective. In that edition too, the night discovery of the native river crayfish was among the most beloved proposals of the event, in the territory of Calestano and the neighboring municipalities of the Parma Apennines.

Monte Sporno Landscape Festival 2025

The 2025 edition of the event ran from May 23 to July 5, with seven spread-out events in the villages at the foot of Monte Sporno, in the Apennines of the Province of Parma. The program alternated naturalistic excursions, visits to historic residences like the Rocca di Valle di Castrignano and Palazzo Tarasconi, geological moments, and gastronomic offerings, culminating in the final celebration on July 5.

The evening walk to discover the river crayfish, organized with the Tuscan-Emilian Apennine National Park as part of the Life Claw project, confirmed the festival's strong connection to the conservation of the biodiversity of these Emilia-Romagna streams.
