Edition 2025 — Montanaro Trail

The 2025 edition of the Montanaro Trail took place on Sunday, May 11, 2025, in San Marcello Pistoiese and was hailed by the organizers as a great success. Once again, participants were able to choose from the three characteristic routes of the event—the 50 km, the 25 km, and the 12 km Nordic Walking—along the paths and ridges of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, with start and finish in the town center.

2025 Edition

The 2025 Montanaro Trail was held on Sunday, May 11, 2025, in the Pistoia Mountains, confirming the three-route format that characterizes the event: the 50 km along the Apennine ridge with its challenging elevation gain, the 25 km with its wooded ridges, and the more accessible 12 km Nordic Walking route from San Marcello to Gavinana.

The organization, managed by the San Marcello Pistoiese section of ASCD Silvano Fedi, declared the edition a success, with results and photo galleries published on the official channels. In 2025, the race once again confirmed its role as a spring fixture for trail running enthusiasts in the municipality of San Marcello Piteglio, in the province of Pistoia.
