Montale Land of Fairy Tales

The fourth edition of Montale Land of Fairy Tales took place from April 10 to 12, 2025, at Villa Castello La Smilea, in Montale (Pistoia), with the theme "Calvino the Fabulist in the Land of Fairy Tales," dedicated to Italo Calvino and his famous Italian Folktales.

• Thursday, April 10: institutional greetings, presentation of the event, conferences and readings, with the screening of RAI's "Marcovaldo" and a final aperitif.
• Friday, April 11: morning with exhibitions, storytelling, and a psychology workshop; in the afternoon, student performances and musical interludes.
• Saturday, April 12: "The Castle of Fairy Tales," a reading-workshop for children.

Among the protagonists were scholar Stefano Adami and actor, musician, and composer Stefano Fresi. Free admission, organized by the Department of Culture and Public Education of the Municipality of Montale.
