Edition 2025 — Montà Carnival — Urs

In 2025, the Carnival once again enlivened Montà, a town in the Roero region of Cuneo province, with festivities dedicated to children and the community. The Montà carnival tradition, preserved by the Ecomuseo delle Rocche del Roero, set the stage for the grand return of the Urs the following year: a Carnival made of masks, traditional sweets, and moments of celebration in the heart of the village.

The Montà Carnival in 2025

In 2025, the Montà Carnival, in the Roero region (province of Cuneo), confirmed the town's bond with its festive traditions. The celebrations, aimed primarily at children and families, followed in the wake of the local carnival culture preserved by the Ecomuseo delle Rocche del Roero.

Between traditional sweets like bugie and moments of shared joy, the 2025 edition represented an important step towards the rediscovery of the town's historic masks, which in 2026 would lead to the return of the Urs, the ancient bear mask that is the symbol of the Montà Carnival.
