Edition 2025 — Mons Cerignonis
The XXIII edition of Mons Cerignonis was held from Friday, July 11 to Sunday, July 13, 2025, in the medieval village of Monte Cerignone (PU), confirming itself as the central event of the local summer and a benchmark for historical reenactments in the Marche and Romagna regions.
The three days featured the historical procession, itinerant shows by flag-wavers, musicians, jesters, and fire-eaters, and falconry demonstrations. The heart of the event was the Palio dell'Uovo (Egg Race), held in Piazza Begni around 6:30 PM, with the districts competing in traditional tests of tug-of-war, rope skipping, and egg throwing towards a moving target. In the village's inns and cellars, soups, grilled meats, piadine, polenta, medieval desserts, wines, craft beers, and platters of cured meats were served.
