Monopolele – Mediterranean Ukulele Festival

In 2025, Monopolele achieved international consecration, receiving the World's Best Festival recognition from the Ukies. From May 30 to June 1, the historic center of Monopoli, in the province of Bari, hosted free evening concerts in Piazza Palmieri featuring stars like James Hill, Taimane Gardner, the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, Vinicius Vivas, Danilo Vignola, and Francesco Loccisano. Each day opened with parades through the streets of the old town and continued late into the night with jam sessions and open mics. At sunset, at the Old Port, the Bad Mouse Orchestra gave a refined swing set. Numerous workshops were held by the artists to learn from the masters of the instrument.
