'SALVIFICA', the 73rd edition

The 73rd G.B. Salvi International Art Prize Exhibition presented 'SALVIFICA. Sassoferrato and Giovanni Manfredini, between skin and depth', an exhibition curated by Federica Facchini and Massimo Pulini, inaugurated on October 11, 2024, at Palazzo degli Scalzi in Sassoferrato. Open until January 26, 2025, the exhibition featured a dialogue between the contemporary artist Giovanni Manfredini and eight unpublished paintings by the 17th-century artist Giovan Battista Salvi, known as 'il Sassoferrato', alongside works by Alessandro Mattia da Farnese. The artworks were displayed in the usual spaces of the palace and in the evocative Church of San Michele Arcangelo in the historic centre. Manfredini, who lives and works between Modena and Milan, exhibited works focusing on the sacredness of the body and light as a tool for redemption.
