Mondello Prize 2025 — 51st edition
The 51st edition of the Mondello International Literary Prize held its final ceremony on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo. The SuperMondello was awarded to Anna Mallamo for the novel Col buio me la vedo io (Einaudi), while the Mondello Giovani Prize went to Leonardo San Pietro for Festa con casuario (Sellerio).
The Italian Work section featured finalists Anna Mallamo, Leonardo San Pietro, and Teresa Ciabatti with Donnaregina. Furthermore, the Foreign Author Prize was conferred upon the Mexican writer Valeria Luiselli, the Critical Work Prize to Tommaso Braccini and Thea Rimini, the Jury Special Prizes to Carlo Greppi and Rosa Matteucci, the Special Prize of the Fondazione Sicilia President to Stefania Auci, and the Camilleri Centenary Special Prize to Diego De Silva. An evening that confirmed Palermo's role as a great capital of literature.
