The 2025 Fried Pizza Festival

On the weekend of May 24 and 25, 2025, Mompeo, a village in the province of Rieti in the heart of Sabina, hosted the Fried Pizza Festival in Piazza Regillo. For two days, the stands set up in the historic center offered freshly made fried pizza along with other typical local food and wine products.

The program alternated tastings with live music and juggling workshops, designed for younger audiences and families. Admission was free and access to the food stands was paid, following the traditional formula of Lazio village festivals. The event confirmed Mompeo's dedication to hospitality and the vitality of its local associations, capable of enlivening the village throughout the year.
