Edition 2025 — Misterbianco Summer Carnival

The first edition of the Misterbianco Summer Carnival took place from June 13 to 15, 2025. For the first time in its history, the town hosted over 150 historical masks from Italy's major carnivals, alongside the famous local costumes. Three days of parades, music, and folk traditions with free admission, including the Saturday Grand Parade and the final concert in Piazza Pertini.

The 2025 inaugural edition

From June 13 to 15, 2025, Misterbianco hosted the first edition of its Summer Carnival, a complete novelty for the town in the Province of Catania. The opening night on Thursday, June 13, was dedicated to Sicilian folk, with the island's sounds, dances, and traditions. On Saturday, June 14, the Grand Parade took place in the historic center, with the most beautiful costumes in Sicily joined by masks from all over Italy, from Pulcinella to Arlecchino, and from Papà del Gnoco to the Merdules. Sunday, June 15, marked the closing in Piazza Pertini with a concert by the RCS.

The free event was organized by the Municipality of Misterbianco with the Sicilian Region, UNPLI, and the National Coordination Center of Italian Masks, recording the participation of representatives from about fourteen Italian regions.

Programme

Thursday, June 13: opening night dedicated to Sicilian folk. Saturday, June 14: Grand Parade of masks and costumes in the historic center. Sunday, June 15: closing night in Piazza Pertini with RCS in concert.
