Milazzo Marathon Swim Event

The 2025 edition of the Milazzo Marathon Swim Event was held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, in the waters of the Capo Milazzo Marine Protected Area, in Milazzo (Messina), confirming the success of the event organized by ASD Ulisse and ASD Baia S. Antonio.

The 9th Periplo del Capo, the classic 10 km straight-line race around the promontory and valid for the regional long-distance title, saw the victory of Fabio Dalu in the men's category and Federica Sirchia in the women's. Alongside the long race, the 5th Aurelio Visalli Memorial was held over the Marine Mile distance, a race dedicated to the Coast Guard non-commissioned officer who fell in these waters. The event, included in the Grand Prix Sicilia Openwater and national long-distance circuits, gathered swimmers from all over Sicily and beyond.
