Edition 2025 — Mid-Lent

The 2025 edition of the Mid-Lent Parade renewed the Bergamo carnival with the traditional parade of allegorical floats and masks in the city centre. Organised by the Ducato di Piazza Pontida, the festival concluded with the ritual of the Rasgamènt de la Ègia, amidst confetti and Harlequins.

The 2025 Mid-Lent Parade confirmed the vitality of one of Bergamo's most beloved traditions. Allegorical floats, masked groups, and the city's masks led by Duke Smiciatöt animated the city centre, amidst music and confetti.

As tradition dictates, the day concluded with the Rasgamènt de la Ègia, the evocative "tearing of the old woman" that symbolises the end of winter. Thousands of spectators crowded Viale Papa Giovanni XXIII and the Sentierone, confirming the event as the true carnival of the Orobic capital, guardian of a custom with medieval roots.
