MIC Fest — Opera Heroines (Pieve di Sorano)

The summer of 2025 saw the continuation of the long tradition of MIC Fest — Music Encounters Culture in the Lunigiana territory, in the province of Massa-Carrara. The widespread, free-admission festival brought concerts and performances to numerous historical and artistic heritage sites, including the evocative Pieve di Santo Stefano di Sorano in Filattiera, an ancient Romanesque church along the Via Francigena.

Following the established formula, the events ranged from classical and operatic music to jazz, storytelling, and theatre, starting in the evening with free access for the public. The festival thus confirmed its role in the cultural enhancement of the region's villages and monuments.
