Four days of independent Italian music "beautiful and kisses" on the shores of the Idroscalo
MI AMI Festival is one of the most important events for independent Italian music. Since 2005, it has taken place on the shores of the Idroscalo of Milan, the large artificial basin east of the city - the "sea of Milan" - in an area bordering the Municipality of Milan and Segrate (Metropolitan City of Milan, Lombardy), easily accessible from the Forlanini district. The festival is named after the acronym "Milano Ama" (Milan Loves) and its affectionate spirit, summarized in the slogan "musica bella e baci" (beautiful music and kisses).
The festival's format includes four days with five stages and over 80 concerts, ranging from indie to rap, from electronic to new artists, with incursions by international artists. The gates open in the afternoon, and the music continues until late at night, with dedicated after-parties. MI AMI has always been a privileged observatory of the Italian alternative scene, capable of launching new talents and celebrating established artists.
The Idroscalo setting, with its green spaces and water, gives the festival a unique atmosphere, halfway between an urban concert and an outdoor excursion. Well-connected to the city by metro and public transport, MI AMI has become a rite of early summer for Milanese audiences and independent music enthusiasts from all over Italy.
The 2026 edition of MI AMI Festival celebrates the event's twentieth anniversary, from May 21 to 24 at Milan's Idroscalo. Four days (Thursday, May 21, Friday, May 22, Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24), five stages, and over 80 concerts dedicated to independent Italian music, including indie, rap, electronic, and new artists.
Gates open at 4:00 PM, with concerts from 6:00 PM until 1:00 AM and after-parties at Magnolia until 4:00 AM. The slogan for this special edition is "Ai venti di guerra rispondiamo con i nostri venti (anni)" (To the winds of war, we respond with our winds (years)). Tickets are available exclusively on DICE.
