Mezza di Signa – City of Straw

The 2025 edition of the Mezza di Signa saw a significant change: due to high organizational costs, the historic half marathon gave way to a 10 km competitive race, accompanied by non-competitive events and a fun walk.

The start and finish lines were moved to the historic center of Signa, in front of the Straw Museum, located in the former Carabinieri barracks on Viale Giuseppe Mazzini, to further connect the race to the identity of the City of Straw. The fast and flat course took place largely in the industrial area on roads closed to traffic. Early registrants received dedicated gadgets, including a straw hat offered by the Florence Hat Consortium for the first walkers.
