The fourth edition of the Mezza del Santo
The Mezza del Santo returned on Sunday, April 29, 2018, to San Giovanni Rotondo for its fourth edition, confirming its status as one of the most heartfelt events in Gargano road running. The race, organized by the Banca di Credito Cooperativo with ASD Atletica Padre Pio, was held on the FIDAL-certified Bronze-level national course, starting from the forecourt of the Church of Saint Pio and finishing at Parco del Papa.
The edition offered free registration for all participants, with a race pack and medal reserved for the top finishers. Dario Santoro emerged victorious among the men, in an event that already combined the sporting dimension with the spiritual and community aspects of the Municipality of San Giovanni Rotondo. It was one of the last editions before the long break that would lead to the race's return only in 2026.
