Edition 2025 — Mergozzo Waterproof
Mergozzo Waterproof was established in 2026; in 2025, the crossing had not yet been instituted. However, Lake Mergozzo, in the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola province, was already a key player in the northern Piedmont open-water swimming season, with established events such as the historic Lake Mergozzo Swimming Crossing.
In 2025, the Mergozzo Waterproof did not yet exist: the event organized by Dimensione Sport debuted in 2026 as a brand-new addition to the calendar. Lake Mergozzo, however, already boasted a solid tradition of open-water swimming, thanks to events like the Lake Mergozzo Swimming Crossing and the Mergozzo International Triathlon, which have attracted athletes and amateurs to the clear waters of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola for years.
