Edition 2025 — Merenda nell'Oliveta

In 2025, Merenda nell'Oliveta celebrated its fifth national edition, involving dozens of Italian municipalities of the Città dell'Olio in days dedicated to extra virgin olive oil and the olive landscape. San Marcello, which joined the network in the summer of 2025, brought the initiative to its territory starting from the 2026 edition.

The 2025 edition of Merenda nell'Oliveta represented the fifth national stage of the initiative promoted by the National Association of Oil Cities, with tastings of extra virgin olive oil, typical products, workshops, music, and walks among the olive groves in numerous Italian villages.

The Municipality of San Marcello, in the province of Ancona, joined the network of Oil Cities in August 2025, choosing to promote its producers and its olive landscape. San Marcello's first active participation in Merenda nell'Oliveta is planned for the 2026 edition, marking the beginning of a journey dedicated to olive oil culture in the Vallesina.
