Edition 2025 — Mercatini al Castello
From November 29 to December 21, 2025, the Palazzo Mediceo in Ottaviano hosted a new edition of the Mercatini al Castello, confirming its status as one of the most popular Christmas events in the Vesuvius area, in the province of Naples.
The palace was transformed into a Christmas village: huts and stalls of crafts and gift ideas, a food and wine trail with local specialties, entertainment and shows for all ages, Santa's House with workshops for children, and guided tours of the historic halls. Opening hours were set at 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM on Thursdays and Fridays and 10:00 AM – 11:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, with the highlight weekend from December 18 to 21.
The initiative, with free admission, was included in the 2025-2026 Metropolitan Events Program of the Metropolitan City of Naples, as part of the «Tra fede e cultura» (Between faith and culture) project, confirming the role that the Ottaviano castle has now assumed in the cultural programming of the territory.
