MercAntico 2025: a year of Sundays in the village

The 2025 edition of MercAntico confirmed the proven formula: the second and last Sunday of every month, from January 12 to December 28, with the ancient workshops of Via Roma and Via Sorripe open as exhibition spaces and about fifty exhibitors of antiques, vintage items, and collectibles arriving from Campania and neighboring regions.

Two events had particular significance. On February 22-23, 2025 and then on May 3-4, 2025, MercAntico was held in combination with the Fiera del Bagagliaio of Melizzano, the market where private individuals sell from their car trunks or a small table: clothing, books, toys, musical instruments, brocante, and art objects. The May weekend added live music by The Organettos's Band on Sunday morning, the photography exhibition "Il Sannio rurale" at Palazzo Massone, the small-format Teatro 20 Posti, live ceramic demonstrations, and food stands with traditional Sannio dishes.

In 2025, admission remained free, and the Municipality of San Lorenzello, in the Benevento Sannio area, continued to use the event as a showcase for its ceramic tradition, with the village workshops open to visitors on market days.

Schedule 2025 — second and last Sunday of every month, from morning to late afternoon, in the historic center of San Lorenzello.

Documented special editions

• February 22-23, 2025: MercAntico together with the Fiera del Bagagliaio of Melizzano, with period furniture and furnishings, rare books, vintage toys and musical instruments, vintage clothing, brocante, and collectibles along the village alleys
• May 3-4, 2025: second joint weekend with the Fiera del Bagagliaio, with live music by The Organettos's Band (Sunday morning), photography exhibition "Il Sannio rurale" at Palazzo Massone, Teatro 20 Posti, live ceramic demonstrations, and food stands with Sannio cuisine

Admission free on all days.
