Everyone's a merchant for a day
Mercanti per Caso is the event organized by Pro Loco Montebelluna, in the province of Treviso, with the support of the Municipality. The idea is simple and highly successful: for one day, every citizen can become a seller, displaying and selling occasional and non-professional used, unwanted, handmade, old, or simply curious items.
Reuse and socializing in the squares
The town squares of Montebelluna fill with improvised stalls, where amidst old books, records, toys, clothes, and small forgotten treasures, people strike bargains and chat. It's an opportunity for reuse and circular economy, but above all, a moment of socializing that involves families, young people, and enthusiasts of vintage and DIY.
Two events a year
Mercanti per Caso takes place twice a year, in spring/summer and autumn, setting the rhythm for the life of the town center. For visitors to Montebelluna, it's a fun and authentic way to experience the city and its community spirit, at the foot of Montello in the Marca Trevigiana.
Mercanti per Caso — edition 2026
The summer 2026 edition of Mercanti per Caso returns in June to the squares of the center of Montebelluna. The event, organized by Pro Loco Montebelluna, allows citizens to become sellers for a day, displaying occasionally and non-professionally used, unwanted, handmade, or curious items.
The usual hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The final date and registration details are communicated by Pro Loco Montebelluna.
