Everyone's a merchant for a day
Mercanti per Caso is the event organized by Pro Loco Montebelluna, in the province of Treviso, with the support of the Municipality. The idea is simple and very successful: for one day, every citizen can become a seller, displaying and selling occasionally and non-professionally used, unwanted, handmade, old, or simply curious items.
Reuse and socializing in the squares
The squares in the center of Montebelluna fill with improvised stalls, where among old books, records, toys, clothes, and forgotten little treasures, people strike bargains and chat. It's an opportunity for reuse and circular economy, but above all a moment of socializing that involves families, young people, and enthusiasts of vintage and DIY.
Two events a year
Mercanti per Caso takes place twice a year, in spring/summer and autumn, setting the rhythm for life in the city center. For visitors to Montebelluna, it's a fun and authentic way to experience the city and its community spirit, at the foot of Montello in the Marca Trevigiana.
Mercanti per Caso — edition 2026
The summer 2026 edition of Mercanti per Caso returns in June to the squares of Montebelluna's center. The event, organized by Pro Loco Montebelluna, allows citizens to become sellers for a day, occasionally and non-professionally displaying used, unwanted, handmade, or curious items.
The usual hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The final date and registration details will be announced by Pro Loco Montebelluna.
Programme Mercanti per Caso 2026
Program coming soon. The usual setup involves private individuals setting up stalls in the town squares (Piazza Dall'Armi, Piazza Aldo Moro, and surrounding streets) from 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with occasional sales of used items, handmade goods, and curiosities.
