The 53rd Merca Festival (2025)

In 2025, the Merca Festival celebrated its 53rd edition at the Roccaccia estate, organized by the Agrarian University of Tarquinia. On Saturday, April 12, the official opening at 9:30 AM preceded the team competition for calf branding, the historical heart of the event, alongside hunting dog trials, the morphological exhibition of the Maremmano horse promoted by ANAM, truffle dog demonstrations, and, in the evening, a parade of traditional buttero and Etruscan costumes. Sunday, April 13, featured forest trekking, an open-breed dog show in support of the Cuori Blu association, archery with the Arco Club 89, and an open equestrian gymkhana. Throughout the weekend: exhibitions, clay pigeon shooting, radio demonstrations, visits to farm animals, and food stalls, all with free admission.
