Menenino Carnival 2025

The 2025 edition of the Menenino Carnival in Mineo opened on Thursday, February 27, with a day dedicated to school children: gathering in Piazza Buglio at 10:00 AM, followed by entertainment and group games until noon, and the distribution of treats.

The main days took place on Saturday, March 1, Sunday, March 2, and Tuesday, March 4: gathering at 4:00 PM on Viale della Rimembranza, with the parade departing at 4:30 PM towards Largo Porta Adinolfo and arriving in Piazza Buglio. From 5:00 PM, group dances, the carnival carousel, and, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, performances by the masked groups followed. The evenings continued with music and entertainment until late at night; on Tuesday, March 4, the final awards ceremony was also held. The event, with free admission, was organized by the Municipality of Mineo.

Thursday, February 27 (children): 10:00 AM gathering of schools in Piazza Buglio, 10:30-12:00 AM entertainment and group games, 12:30 PM treats and farewells. Saturday, March 1 and Sunday, March 2: 4:00 PM gathering at Viale della Rimembranza 53, 4:30 PM parade departure (Viale della Rimembranza - Largo Porta Adinolfo - Piazza Buglio), 5:00 PM group dances and carnival carousel, 6:00-9:00 PM masked group performances, from 9:00 PM music and entertainment. Tuesday, March 4: same program with final awards ceremony from 9:00 PM.
