Edition 2025 — Mediterranean Frontiers

The first edition of Mediterranean Frontiers took place in Sapri from July 15 to August 13, 2025, with a program of concerts, musical tributes, theatrical performances, and days dedicated to the territory. Villa Comunale, Viale della Spigolatrice, Lungomare Italia, and Piazza San Giovanni hosted the evening events, almost all at 10:00 PM, promoted by the Municipality of Sapri with the support of the Salerno Chamber of Commerce, Fenailp, and the Terre del Bussento Association.

The 2025 edition

Mediterranean Frontiers debuted on July 15, 2025, at 10:00 PM on Viale della Spigolatrice with the Armando Rizzo Trio — Armando Rizzo on accordion, Corrado Cirillo on double bass, Luca Mignano on drums — in a repertoire that spanned Argentine tango, French musette, film soundtracks, Brazilian choro, and jazz improvisation.

The following day, Tutta 'nata storia was performed, a tribute to Pino Daniele conceived by Antonella Grippo with Carlo Maria Todini on vocals and Massimo Testa on guitar; on July 23, it was the turn of La sera dei miracoli, dedicated to Lucio Dalla. On July 21 and 22, the Villa Comunale hosted Terre del Bussento Experience, with agri-food stands, folk music, conferences, and shows for children. On July 28, the Don Giovanni Iantorno Prize was awarded to Don Giacomo Panizza.

In August, the festival continued with Fuoco Dentro Live by Giovanni Radice and band on Lungomare Italia (August 7), Sincopecunto by Antonio Quartuccio (August 8), the jazz concert by the Francesco Del Gaudio quartet (August 9), and the closing on August 13 in Piazza San Giovanni with the comedy show Come voi ben sapete by Franco Guzzo.
