Medioevo in Rocca

From September 11 to 14, 2025, the Rocca di Montestaffoli in San Gimignano returned to the Middle Ages with Medioevo in Rocca, the historical re-enactment by the Associazione I Cavalieri di Santa Fina. Costumed figures paraded from the village to the fortress, enlivening the four days with performances of drums, clarions, and flags, medieval dances, and archery demonstrations with the Arcieri di Castelvecchio.

The four Contrade of San Gimignano — San Matteo, San Giovanni, Castello, and Piazza — set up their taverns inside the Rocca, where visitors could enjoy wine and grilled meat in an authentically medieval atmosphere. The event, with free admission, confirmed its role as a late-summer highlight in the calendar of San Gimignano, in the province of Siena.
