Edition 2025 — Medieval Week of Lucera
The 2025 edition of the Medieval Week of Lucera took place from August 7 to 13, confirming its status as one of the most important historical events in the Capitanata region. The Medieval Village at the Swabian-Angevin Fortress (August 7-10) featured falconry displays, military encampments, lectures, and the first historical reconstruction of the Angevin Siege of 1268-69, curated by the Imperiales Friderici II Association.
On August 12, the Roman Amphitheatre hosted the 42nd edition of the Tournament of the Keys, with the challenge between the Five Historic Gates for the blue and gold Palio. On August 13, the Angevin Historical Pageant closed the event: departure at 6:30 PM from the Fortress and arrival at Piazza Duomo, with the special participation of Sergio Muniz in the role of King Charles II of Anjou. The event is organized by the APS Cinque Porte Storiche - Città di Lucera with the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, the Puglia Region, and the Province of Foggia.
