Edition 2025 — Motta Medieval Festival
Medieval Festival 2025 - 28th Edition
The 28th edition of the Medieval Festival of Motta Sant'Anastasia was held from August 12 to 17, 2025, confirming the great public success of the event. Every evening, starting at 8:30 PM, the opening proclamation and historical pageant evoked the court of Queen Blanche of Navarre, accompanied by her lady-in-waiting, Jana da Motta.
The village streets were enlivened by street theater companies such as SBADACLOWN, Laura De Palma, Vingòlf, and Dragonfire, as well as oriental dancers and flag-wavers. Among the most appreciated events were the show "Persephone - Queen of Darkness and the Flower of Destruction" by the Compagnia dei Barda and the Court Dinner, a medieval banquet set at the foot of the 1074 Norman tower. The medieval market and district taverns were confirmed, with free admission to the shows.
