Medieval August

The 2025 edition of the Medieval August had a special significance, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the event with the exhibition "1975-2025: Fifty Years of Our History" (July 21-August 10). The calendar featured the Gathering of the Permission (July 24) with a historical parade and blessing of the palio, the Asteludo flag-throwers' challenge (July 26), the Night of Contention (July 27) with competitions in historical games, medieval re-enactments and settings (August 1-4), the Regatta of the Districts (August 3) on the nautical mile with Ligurian dinghies competing for the Maritime Palio, and the concluding Night of the Guidernone (August 4) with the award ceremony and assignment of the municipal palio.
