MedFilm Festival 2025 — 31st Edition

The thirty-first edition of the MedFilm Festival was held in Rome from November 6 to 16, 2025, in both in-person and online formats, with a program structured around the theme of "Hope", understood as a vital and active impulse toward a future of peace. The competition featured 83 titles from 33 countries and 50 guests, including directors and industry professionals.

The Official Competition brought together eight international feature films, accompanied by the Atlante (non-competitive) and Perle sections, the latter dedicated to Italian cinema of civil engagement. Ample space was given to short films, retrospectives — with a focus on Palestinian cinema and a tribute to French director Paul Vecchiali — and the professional meetings of the MedMeetings. The festival awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award and the Koinè Prize, its highest honor, confirming itself as a reference point for Mediterranean cinema in Rome and the Lazio region.
