Edition 2025 — MedFestival Puglia
MedFestival Puglia 2025 — 12th Edition
The twelfth edition of MedFestival Puglia was held on 9 and 10 August 2025 at the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grazie in San Marzano di San Giuseppe, titled "Stories and sounds of the uniting Mediterranean". Organised by the APS Pro Loco Marciana with the patronage of the Puglia Region and the Municipality, the festival offered two evenings of music, theatre, documentary film, and cultural reflection.
On the musical front, the stage featured Giumentaro Ensemble, La Cantiga de la Serena, Accasaccio, Kalàscima, and Skarlat, with a Mediterranean DJ set closing the second evening. There was also ample space for theatre and storytelling, with the reading "Via Case Sparse" and moments of reflection on tarantism, popular spirituality, and Mediterranean current affairs.
Among the side activities, the photographic exhibition "Mesògeios Thalassa" by Maurizio Greco was dedicated to the faces and ports of the Mediterranean, alongside creative workshops for children using natural pigments, a gastronomic trail with Apulian dishes and wines, and a section dedicated to Tunisia with traditional dishes, henna, and a charity fundraiser. As per tradition, the edition coincided with the Night of San Lorenzo.
