May Festival

The 2025 edition of the May Festival in Orbetello confirmed the formula that weaves together the sacred and the secular. Among the most anticipated events, the 113th Corsa dei Barchini, held on Saturday, May 17, at the Mura di Levante: one of the oldest regattas in the Maremma, which for the first time in its long history opened the races to the women's category. The day was preceded by the blessing of the crews in Piazza del Duomo and the historic pageant of the Duke of Arcos, with the challenge between the Porto, Duomo, Piazza d'Armi, Neghelli, and Stazione districts. There was also the procession of the patron saint San Biagio, shows, live music in the historic center, and the Taverna della Pro Loco with traditional lagoon dishes, starting with the Orbetello eel.
