MaTiFF — Matera International Film Festival

In 2025, MaTiFF celebrated its sixth edition, from September 21 to 27, under the theme "A drop of hope", an invitation to reflect on the power of images in building bridges between peoples, religions, and cultures. The edition concluded with over 90 works including films, documentaries, and short films, and a record audience, with numerous world premieres. Among the most anticipated events was the screening of the restored and colorized version of Pier Paolo Pasolini's "The Gospel According to St. Matthew", filmed precisely in Matera's Sassi, and awards to protagonists of Italian cinema. The closing gala was held at the Guerrieri cinema.
