In the most recent edition, Materadio brought to Matera, in September, three days of Rai Radio 3 live broadcasts from the squares and Sassi, with concerts, literary encounters, and dialogues with artists and intellectuals, following the festival's established format.
The 2025 edition
Even in its most recent edition, Materadio confirmed its identity as a grand open-air radio narrative, with Rai Radio 3 programmes broadcast live from the historic squares and alleys of Matera's Sassi. Concerts, book presentations, shows, and dialogues with cultural figures animated the city, generally with free admission, keeping alive the bond between Matera and Rai's third radio network in view of its year as Mediterranean Capital of Culture.
