Matassino Strawberries and Cream Festival

The 2025 edition confirmed the traditional formula of the Matassino festival, in the municipality of Figline e Incisa Valdarno (Florence). For four days, the village came alive with sports tournaments, running and cycling races, theatrical shows, and live music. At the food stands, in addition to strawberries with cream, sandwiches, and local specialties, there were two unmissable dinners: pork shank on Friday and Sunday, and the famous Matassino-style spit-roasted meat on Saturday evening. There was no shortage of solidarity activities, with the "Ciao Amici!!! di Riccardo" tournament, and medieval-style entertainment by Porta San Francesco. The festival concluded on Sunday, May 25, with the tombola in the square, the Marian procession, and the fireworks display.
