Massimo Scalingi Memorial

In June 2025, the Municipal Stadium of Castel Frentano hosted a new edition of the Massimo Scalingi Memorial, a football tournament organized by Virtus Castel Frentano in memory of the historic local striker. As per tradition, the event brought together local football academies for an entire weekend, with dozens of youth teams on the pitch, the legends' match, and the festive moments that accompany every day. Music, food areas, and conviviality provided the backdrop for an event that, year after year, strengthens the bond between the community of Castel Frentano and the memory of Massimo Scalingi, in the heart of the Frentano Abruzzo region in the province of Chieti.
