Maschgra-Umzug in Kurtatsch

In 2025, the Maschgra-Umzug in Kurtatsch once again renewed the tradition of the carnival in Cortaccia sulla strada del vino (province of Bolzano). The procession, which started from the Ansitz Freienfeld and ended in the village's main square, featured numerous participants dressed as gypsies, witches, and Schnappviecher, keeping the hundreds of spectators in high spirits.

The festival, organized by the Kurtatscher Maschgra Verein, continued in the square with music, beer stalls, and food stands, confirming the Maschgra as one of the most cherished events of the 'fifth season' in the Bassa Atesina.
