Martini Kirchtag in Kurtinig

On November 11, 2025, St. Martin's Day, Cortina sulla strada del vino celebrated the traditional Martini Kirchtag. The festival, part of the autumn calendar of the Bassa Atesina (Südtiroler Unterland), featured the customary solemn mass in the parish church dedicated to St. Martin, a traders' market with rides, balloons, and music in the square, an evening lantern parade for kindergarten and elementary school children, and the famous Gänselauf: geese in the square in the morning, and in the afternoon, the twenty-meter race with bets on the fastest goose. Traditional goose dishes were served in the village restaurants. The event confirmed its role as a much-loved appointment for residents of the entire Adige Valley.
