Edition 2025 — MARRONE — L'Inizio in Marradi
The "L'Inizio" project arrives in Marradi in 2026 as a new participatory dance residency signed by Virgilio Sieni and produced by the Cango National Dance Production Center / Florence. In previous years, the choreographer's research into gesture, community, and body language has traversed numerous Tuscan territories, laying the foundations for the project's roots in Dino Campana's hometown.
Prior to the 2026 edition, the work of Virgilio Sieni and the Cango National Dance Production Center of Florence developed through workshops, performances, and participatory actions spread across various locations in Tuscany, with a constant focus on the dialogue between contemporary dance, community, and cultural heritage. This research paved the way for the "L'Inizio" project in Marradi, in the Mugello, inspired by the poetic legacy of the Canti Orfici.
