Marrocca Festival

The 31st edition of the Marrocca Festival was held in Casalincontrada, in the province of Chieti, from July 23 to 27, 2025. The traveling food and wine event animated the alleys of the old part of the town every evening, starting at 7:00 PM, with the Pro Loco's food stalls.

The star was the marrocca, the corn on the cob served boiled or roasted, accompanied by homemade pasta, gnocchi, polenta, pecora alla callara, arrosticini, and tripe, all paired with local wines. The opening evening on July 23 hosted the night-time mountain bike ride, with a meeting point at the sports field and a medium-difficulty route through lanes, gullies, and cornfields. The edition was organized by the Pro Loco of Casalincontrada APS, with parking and shuttle service available for visitors.
