Edition 2025 — Marineo Poetry Prize
50 years of the Marineo Poetry Prize
The 2025 edition marked the fiftieth anniversary of the prize, with the awards ceremony held in Marineo on Sunday, September 7, 2025. The jury awarded the numerous prizes to the winners before a large audience.
In the published poetry in Italian section, the first prize was awarded ex aequo to Michele Porzio for "Il canto della terra" and to René Corona for "Ma per fortuna che Offenbach c'è". For published poetry in Sicilian, Maria Nivea Zagarella won with "Vocalanzicula", while the unpublished Sicilian section awarded Giovanna Drago from Scicli for the poem "Silenziu".
The Special International Prize was presented to actor Sebastiano Somma; the "Francesco Grisi" Plaque went to actor and writer Salvo Piparo.
