Maricchia Festival

The 2025 edition of the Maricchia Festival was held in Capaci, in the province of Palermo, from May 9 to 11, 2025. Three days of short theatre, conferences, music, social reflection, and creative workshops, all under the banner of the female universe and organized by the Il Carro di Tespi Cultural Association with the patronage of UILT Sicilia.

The theatre competition featured short plays focused on female figures drawn from the Holy Scriptures. Among the competing companies, the Compagnia di Teatro Popolare di Sansepolcro stood out with the play "Sara", written and performed by Costanza Rosadi with Luciano Bartolini and Michele Masciarri, directed by Franca Neri, which was awarded as one of the most appreciated dramatizations of the festival.
