Marian Night 2025 – 3rd Edition

The third edition of the Marian Night was held in Messina on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 5:00 PM until midnight, in the heart of the historic center. The evening opened in the Cathedral with the placement of the Golden Manta on the Icon of the Madonna della Lettera.

At 8:30 PM, in the New Oratory of Peace, Father Vincenzo Majuri held the lecture "O Queen of the Angels", on the 650th anniversary of the death of Giovanni Boccaccio. At 10:00 PM, Simone Grande, a young talent and winner of the 2023 edition of "The Voice Kids", performed in concert. On Via Cicerone, the flower display by the parish of Santo Stefano Medio, and in Piazza Immacolata di Marmo, the artistic carpet by the Amici dell'Arte association and works by the Madonnari of Sicily were featured. For the first time, the Astronomical Clock Tower, the Cathedral Crypt, and the Cathedral Treasury were open at night.

The evening concluded at midnight with the carousel of the Astronomical Clock Tower and the first pyromusical show, a novelty of that edition, above the historic center of Messina.
