Marian Month and Procession of the Madonna dello Sterpeto

The 2025 edition of the Marian Month in Barletta was dedicated to Saint Mary Mother of Hope. The opening, on May 1st, began at 17:00 with Holy Mass at the Sanctuary of the Sterpeto, followed by the solemn procession of the Icon towards the city along Via Trani, with traditional stops at the Fire Brigade Headquarters and the Buzzi Unicem Cement Plant. Throughout the month of May, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore was the center of city devotion, with numerous daily Masses and pilgrimages by parishes. On June 2nd, the Icon was escorted back in procession to its Sanctuary on Via Trani, closing the Marian Month.
