Maria Stella Maris Procession (Ferragosto)

2025 Edition

Organized by the Stella Maris parish in collaboration with the Municipality of Latina as part of «Latina Estate 2025», the festival of August 15, 2025, followed the traditional two-part structure.

At 3:30 PM, the land procession departed from the square of the Stella Maris church, with the route along via Capraia, Lungomare road, via Casilina Sud and Nord, Litoranea road towards Borgo Grappa, via Randa, via Velaccio, and viale Antonio Pennacchi, before returning to the church; residents welcomed the passage of the statue by preparing altars in front of their homes. This was followed by Holy Mass presided over by Bishop Mariano Crociata.

At 7:30 PM, the sea procession began: from the Rio Martino canal port to Foce Verde, the boats accompanied the statue of Maria Stella Maris along the coastline, symbolically uniting land and sea in devotion. Participation was free and open to all.
