Maria SS. Addolorata Festival

The 2025 edition of the festivities in honor of Maria SS. Addolorata followed the traditional schedule of the Modugno patronal feast. In the days leading up to the main day of March 10th, the community gathered at the Mother Church - Parish of Maria Santissima Annunziata for the recitation of the chaplet and daily Mass, in a journey of spiritual preparation in memory of the Marian protection of 1799. The main day featured the celebration of the solemn Mass and, in the evening, the traditional procession of the image of the Addolorata through the streets of Modugno, one of the most well-attended moments of the year. The religious dimension was accompanied by the civic program, with street music, band concerts, and festivities in the square that involved the entire citizenry of the province of Bari.
