Edition 2025 — Maria del Popolo in Bici

In 2025, the patronal feast of Santa Maria del Popolo in Surbo once again included the now-traditional non-competitive cycle tour promoted by the parish. As in subsequent editions, the free ride, open to all ages, brought together families and enthusiasts for a morning dedicated to movement, community, and the appreciation of the local area, with refreshments and a festive atmosphere along the entire route in the small Salento town in the province of Lecce.

The Maria del Popolo in Bici cycle tour has accompanied the patronal feast of Surbo for several seasons, and in 2025 it represented one of the most well-attended moments of the festivities in honor of Santa Maria del Popolo.

True to its formula, the event offered a non-competitive and free ride, open to children, families, and cycling enthusiasts, starting from the parish oratory. More than a race, it was an opportunity for the Surbo community to meet, capable of weaving together devotional tradition with the promotion of a healthy, outdoor lifestyle.
